Committee elections
The 2022 AGM of the Foundation was held online on Tuesday 25 October with the attendance of 25 registered members.
The meeting received the annual report for 2021/22 and elected a new committee for the coming year, with an extra committee position being filled.
President Frank McKeown advised that this will be his last year in the role and encouraged members to consider potential candidates to take over the role next year.
The meeting also unanimously agreed that a suitable acknowledgement of traditional owners and first nations peoples be included from now on in the formal proceedings of the Foundation.
With the AGM concluded in 25 minutes, a webinar on ‘Seated Exercise at Home’ led by exercise physiologist Lisa Meng of Advance Rehab Centre in Sydney then ran for the remaining 35 minutes. The webinar topic was the top-rated choice in a survey of attendees at the last AGM. It was a highly informative and practical session with participants invited to perform the exercises as they were presented.
The webinar will be included in the educational webinar series available in the permanent record of the website. Here it is!
