June fundraising
The June fundraising campaign this year brought in $65,743, bolstered by $30,000 in dollar-for-dollar matching donations from two super-generous community members.
Matching donations, where every dollar given effectively becomes two dollars seems to be an attractive prospect for community members with their giving decisions and we will look to maximise that impact again whenever possible.
Total for the year so far
The total funds raised for the year to date sits currently at around $90,000, which is a welcome relief after last year’s total coming in at under $60,000… less than 50% of target.
Clinical Trial Budget
You may have read in this quarter’s clinical trial program update that the trial budget is $1.5 million, so we need to make sure we don’t take our foot off the pedal anytime soon.
Annual General Meeting and Committee
The Foundation’s Annual General Meeting is now scheduled to be held online on the evening of Tuesday, 30 October, 2018. Details of the meeting and access to the 2017/18 Annual Report & Financial Statements will be circulated towards the end of September.
