Connecting with fellow HSPers
HSPers, friends and loved ones met for socialising and lunch in Canberra in mid-February. Organised by the HSP Australian Support Group on Facebook at the Erindale Vikings Club, the get-together was a huge hit.
Feedback from the 20 or so people who attended was highly positive. Comments included:
“What a lovely lunch spent with some beautiful supportive people.”
“Was lovely to see you all and great to meet the new members.”
“Ian and I look forward to seeing you all again soon, until then take care.”
“Appreciate you bringing the balloons and booking a fantastic venue! Just loved it so much!”
A group of Brisbane HSP community members also got together in mid-February for an impromptu lunch, again organised by the Facebook group. The ‘meet and greet’ at the Full Moon Hotel in the seaside suburb of Sandgate included some first-time attendees at what was a small, intimate gathering. One of the gathering commented “It was fantastic to sit there and talk about our lives, our daily needs, future goals etc., all with other members who completely understand! I loved this & would do this again any time soon!”
A dinner gathering is planned for 6pm on Friday 29 March at the Catalina Restaurant, Novotel Brisbane Airport where a far bigger turnout is expected. All are welcome!
It was so lovely to meet up with everyone again recently in Canberra and great friendships are made! Appreciate the new people who joined us from the HSP Research Foundation Community. It is a great feeling to know we are NOT alone! 😛
Loved seeing our other friends up in Brisbane having some wonderful time together! 😛
